Habitat Bicycle Challenge

Habitat Bicycle ChallengePedaling to end poverty housing…

2007 marked the 13th and final Annual Habitat Bicycle Challenge (HBC).

Originally started  by Yale students, by 2007 nearly 50% of the riders were from colleges all over the world. Hundreds of riders crossed the county on bikes, money was raised, homes were built in New Haven, and awareness was spread about Habitat. In fact, new Habitat affiliates were born in several rural areas of the country because of HBC.

Our heartfelt thanks go out to all the riders, donors, hosts across the country, parents, and most of all, the student leaders who put the event together every year and led the riders 4,000 miles from east coast to west coast. HBC was a student-driven initiative from the first day to the last. We applaud HBC supporters for their spirit, determination, hard work and generosity during thirteen incredible years!
