Event Planning & Fundraising Committee

Without funding from individual donors, corporations, businesses, foundations, congregations and civic organizations, Habitat wouldn’t be able to partner with low-income families and build houses. The Development Committee is a key component in raising necessary funds and overall awareness about Habitat’s mission. The committee plans and carries out special events, creates public relations materials and presentations, communicates with the media outlets, and develops fundraising plans for the organization.

Planning, Building & Real Estate Acquisition Committee

This Committee plans and oversees construction projects and creates the annual construction schedule, as well as solicits donations of building supplies and skilled labor. A sub-committee, Site Selection, identifies existing properties and empty lots that may make good sites for Habitat homes, researches the prospective properties, and pursues the acquisition.

Family Selection & Partnership Committee

This Committee carries out a range of important tasks, all involving Habitat families. Members conduct the family selection process, partner with families who have been selected into the homebuyer’s program, plan and hold Homebuyers’ Workshops, and provide on-going support and friendship to families who have completed the program and are living in their Habitat home.
