Founded in 1986, Habitat for Humanity of Greater New Haven (an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the elimination of poverty housing through the creation of home ownership opportunities for low-income working families. Habitat builds and rehabilitates homes in the Greater New Haven area with the goal of creating safe, decent, affordable houses that add to the revitalization of New Haven’s neighborhoods. Habitat accomplishes its mission by partnering with individuals, religious and civic organizations, local businesses and corporations.
Construction volunteering will resume sometime later this month.
Please consider volunteering at the Habitat ReStore during the construction break.
Habitat for Humanity of Greater New Haven uses Volunteer Up! to schedule and manage individual volunteers. It is a very easy system that allows you to register yourself and sign up for shifts at the build sites! Please click above to register and to see what dates are available.
Volunteer groups and individuals doing court-ordered community service still need to contact Ellen McNally, Volunteer Coordinator, at (203) 785-0794 or email@example.com to schedule a date.
