Individual Volunteer Opportunities Available at the Build Site Beginning June 18!

Our staff has been planning and implementing new health and safety procedures on our build sites and we are ready to welcome back individual volunteers! Individual volunteer opportunities are now available on Thursdays and Friday beginning on June 18. As we move forward we may be able to open up more opportunities, but want to begin by slowly welcoming volunteers to return. We will be continuing to work on our new construction projects located at 2 Button Street and 91 Lamberton Street in New Haven. We expect both of these homes to be completed this summer.

Before registering for volunteer day in VolunteerUp, please review these new health and safety procedures so that you are prepared for the work that will be taking place on the build site: Welcome Back, Construction Volunteers!

If you have any questions about the new procedures or signing up to volunteer, please contact Allison Mangles at amangles@habitatgnh.org or (203) 785-0794 ext. 100.

Thank you for your support of The Great Give!

Over 36 hours from 8:00 a.m. on May 5 to 8:00 p.m. on May 6, 91 donors made gifts totaling $7,515 to Habitat for Humanity of Greater New Haven! We cannot thank you enough for your generosity during this annual event, especially during this difficult time. All funds that were raised during the event will be used to complete the three homes that are currently under construction: 2 Button Street, 91 Lamberton Street, and 24 Glen Haven Road, all in New Haven. The three families who will be purchasing these homes were selected last fall and have already completed many of their 400 sweat equity hours. We are looking forward to being back on the build site to complete these homes with your support. Thank you!
