Cars for Homes: Another Great Season!

We just received our Cars for Homes donations from the last quarter and we want to say THANK YOU to everyone who has donated their car, truck, or other motor vehicle to Cars for Homes. If you are looking to easily donate your vehicle and see the proceeds used to build Habitat homes in New Haven then Cars for Homes is the program for you. Dedication of 39 Elliott Street, New Haven

A full day of celebrations continues on February 9 at 12:45 p.m. with our dedication ceremony for 39 Elliott Street! Homeowners Laye and Fatoumata, along with their family and friends, welcome you to join them in their new home.
Special thanks to community build Raise the Roof for sponsoring this home and providing build site volunteers.This is the 16th Habitat home the community build has sponsored in New Haven.

Ground Breaking for 2 Button Street, New Haven

We will be breaking ground on the future home of the Hernandez family at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 9. Please join us along with sponsoring community build Raise the Roof as we start this new construction project. Homeowners Rosalie, Armando, and their family are very excited to begin work on their new home.

7th Annual Chili Bowl

Community build Sleeping Giant Build is holding their 7th Annual Chili Bowl on Saturday, February 1 from 5:00-7:30 p.m. at the Amity Teen Center, 10 Selden Street in Woodbridge. Delicious chilis, fun raffles and auctions, life music, billiards, and a kids corner will round out a fantastic evening. Purchase tickets online to save time at the door!

Dedication of 62 and 66 Sylvan Avenue, New Haven

Join the Lopez-Sandoval and Taylor families along with other Habitat supporters and house sponsors Yale New Haven Hospital and the medical staff to celebrate the completion of these homes. The dedication ceremony will take place on Tuesday, January 28 at 3:00 p.m. We hope to see you there!

Dedication of 631 Ferry Street, New Haven

Celebrate the completion of 631 Ferry Street with Habitat homeowner Keyanna, her friends and family, and other Habitat supporters. The ceremony will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 26.

Visit Community Build Sleeping Giant Build at the Mitzvah Mall: December 15

Community build Sleeping Giant Build will participate in the Mitvah Mall at Congregation Mishkan Israel on Sunday, December 15 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Mitvah Mall allows children and adults to make a gift to a local non-profit organization in honor of a friend or relative and receive a card for the honoree. This is a fantastic way to show support for Habitat for Humanity while checking names off of your shopping list! We hope to see you there.

Dinner at Panera to Support Community Build Raise the Roof: November 30

On Saturday, November 30, 4–8 pm, take a break from holiday cooking and shopping and let Panera Bread Guilford (1919 Boston Post Road in the Guilford Commons) feed you, your relatives and friends…and help build homes. Panera will give 20% back to community build Raise the Roof. A beautiful reason to give thanks! Please share this flyer with the cashier when you order so that proceeds will be donated to Raise the Roof.

ReStore Volunteer Open Houses: November 6 and 16

Have you been thinking about volunteering at the ReStore but weren’t sure how to get started? If so, we have two ReStore open house events happening just for you! Stop by on Wednesday, November 6 between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. or on Saturday, November 16 between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to learn about becoming a ReStore volunteer and sign up to get started.
